The i-ScubaDiving research project studies the development of an Innovative Remote Immersion System in Underwater Environments, which will enable divers, using common underwater cameras and through a crowdsourcing platform, to create and share their own three-dimensional (3D ) model of a shipwreck or underwater landscape. At the same time, with augmented and virtual reality technologies, the platform allows users to explore the locations and have an impressive virtual diving experience.
