i-ScubaDiving is investigating the development of an innovative system for remote 3D digitization and virtual navigation of the underwater environment. In this context, it is developing a crowdsourcing platform that guides users, such as amateur scuba divers, underwater research groups and diving centers, to create 3D models of underwater sites of interest (wrecks, reefs, etc.) via a remote service and based on a simplified procedure, using common underwater cameras. In addition, they have the ability to view images, videos and the 3D models on a digital map.
