i-ScubaDiving invites you to the online workshop it is organizing to present an innovative integrated system for remote 3D digitization and virtual navigation of the underwater environment.
i-ScubaDiving (https://iscubadiving.eu/) investigates the development of a platform that will guide users - amateur divers, marine research groups and diving centers - to create, through a remote service and based on a simplified process, 3D models of underwater places of interest (wrecks, reefs, etc.) using common underwater cameras. 3D models will be able to be viewed on a digital map. At the same time, it will offer the possibility to the global diving community and non-divers to have a "dry" diving experience in a virtual environment with access to information and material (eg text, video, photos) through augmented reality tools.
The i-ScubaDiving research project is implemented within the framework of the "Central Macedonia 2021-2027" Program (Operation code: KMP 6-0082362).
